Welcome to Alleycat mining

I'm pushing 40 years as an I.T. professional, and in that time I've worn a lot of hats and worked on a huge amount of projects.  Currently in my day job I manage a corporate team of engineers with over 450 servers located in 3 datacenters and the cloud.  I discovered crypto back when Litecoin mining was taking off, and have been actively mining since 2017.  Running a stake pool seems like a logical next step in my crypto journey, and Cardano is the right project.

I'm excited to be contributing to the Cardano ecosystem, as I believe in the goals of this project.  While my initial pledge will be small, I plan to increase it on a quarterly basis.

As  an active (except during the pandemic) actor and musician all of my life, the arts play a critical role in the maintenance of my sanity.  Therefore, a portion of all profits from the pool will be donated to performing arts organizations in my local area.

• The first quarter of 2024 has been really good for ALLEY! In March we hit blocks in (2) consecutive epochs.  This has led to a lot of new delegators.  Welcome!
• Contributions to support student attendance at one of our local theater companies continue.  This professional company produces works of classic literature (especially Shakespeare) and works with local schools to tie curriculum with their productions.
• Wow - in March we have gone from 55k delegation to over 2M!  In order to improve resilience, the block producing node was moved to a Tier 1 hosting provider on 4/5/2024.  This provides increased redundancy in both the power and internet availability.  Thank you all for your support!
